Basil D. Marmaduke is a black dwarf who has three vultures in his bathroom to keep the numbers of goldfish in his washbasin under control. One day he argues with his uncle about the goldfish and casts a spell on him, freezing his uncle with one foot in the air. He forgets how to undo the spell and the police arrive and arrest the uncle for obstruction and various other offences.
