  • Author's note: 'Be it known to all posterity, that over and above one John McEncroe, a priest in holy orders, and a minister of the Christian faith, the projectors and supporters of the Longmore Movement, and the original introducers of the damnable principle of Sectarianism into the politics of New South Wales, were one Jabez King Heydon (the only authorised agent in the Australian colonies for the sale of Professor Holloway's Patent Medicines); Edward McEncroe, of the City of Sydney, tobacconist; Daniel Joseph Tierney, of Sydney aforesaid, Doctor of Medicine; John Davis, of the same place, gentleman; and Jeremiah Donovan, also of Sydney aforesaid, ironmonger.'
