  • A series of witty epigrams on an incident in which New South Wales Governor FitzRoy restricted entry to the grounds of Government House during the levee in honour of Queen Victoria's birthday. The incident became the subject of an editorial titled 'Sir Charles Fitzroy and the People of Sydney' (the Empire, 26 May, 1851, p. 474).
