Ruby Hunter- Born 1955, Passed Away 2010 : Tributes Flow for Acclaimed Singer, Darren Coyne , single work obituary

'Ruby Hunter, an influential voice for her generation- the Stolen Generation- has died. The acclaimed singer passed away last Wednesday in the arms of her long-time musical collaborator and soul mate, Archie Roach and surrounded by family.

Her death, aged 54, sparked an outpouring of emotional tributes from across Australia- from politicians, fans and friends...Archie Roach and family have requested that their privacy be respected 'at this time of profound grief.'' Source: Koori Mail no. 470, 2010
