Two friends go to Borneo to make money. After five years of solitude and illness they fall out and Sennit dares Hadden to kill him. Sennit goes back to Australia and brings back his wife, Moira, and the chemist, Crighton. A love triangle and hopes of inheritance lead to a murder which Moira solves.
