AbstractHistoryArchive Description
An old prospector recalls how, over thirty years earlier, he and some friends came upon a creek at the bottom of a steep ravine. Lowering themselves down by a rope, they panned for gold and were rewarded with a reasonable yield. He laments that they never managed to return to work the creek and is now too old to do so.
