Publishes local news, news via telegraph from Melbourne, Brisbane, Lachlan, Lambing Flat, Newcastle, news from the diggings, original correspondence and occasionally poetry.

The newspaer was extensively circulated throughout the distrcts of Braidwood, Major's Creek, Bell's Creek. Araluen, Moruya, Nerringudah (Gold Diggings), Bangendore, Boro, Queanbeyan, Cooma, Nelligen, Gouldburn, Mogo, Eden, Pambula, Narriga, and Mongarlowe River Gold-Fields.
