    Note:

    The Queenslander published 3 versions of 'The Overlander' in the 'Songs of the Bush' column in 1894. This was the third of the 3 versions to appear, and was submitted by the contributor 'H.M.' of Goochy. It differed considerably from the previous versions, which prompted the Queenslander editor to add 'We believe, however, that this is not the original version of the song'.

    Whilst this version of 'The Overlander' is identifiably the same work as 'The Overlander 2' which appears in The Overlander Song Book, it contains only 4 verses.
