AbstractHistoryArchive Description
An important collection of stories and photographs from the La Perouse community. Members of the community were concerned and dismayed at the continued misrepresentation of the ancestors' lives in written history. This book is part of their undertaking to redress that situation. The stories compiled here come from the writer's own experiences, their memories, and what they have been told by their old folk. The book witnesses the cultural continuity of the La Perouse community and provides a tangible legacy for future generation. Sourced: Publishers note (24/04/2009)
