Author's note: This story is set in Gumbalanya traditional land within the Arnhem Land Reservation, north of East Alligator River (the boundary between Arnhem Land and Kakadu) opposite Kakuda National Park. The white sand campsite of Red Lily Lagoon was used as a location in the filming of Crocodile Dundee.
