A young English gentleman causes his family distress by falling in love with ladies considered unsuitable by his parents. They encourage him to emigrate to Australia where he meets and marries a Melbourne dancer. One of his wife's previous lovers 'sponges' on the young couple and causes such distress that they eventually divorce.
