A father sends his four sons out into the world to see what they can achieve. One becomes a thief, one a tailor, one learns to hunt, and the other learns to see the stars. Upon return, the sons are challenged by their father to win the hand of a princess. The thief succeeds by stealing the memories of his brothers.
