  • Author's note: 'I have noticed lately,' said the Poet, 'that our Punster is given to repeat himself a lot. He has been giving us stale two-a-penny puns which neither soothe nor satisfy. So I have scissored a few samples, partly to give him a rest, partly to show him what a horribly low literary value attaches to puns when served up wholesale. Here y'are:'
