AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A retelling of a Burmese story in which parents strive to marry their daughter to the 'most powerful being on earth'. Miss Mouse wants to marry young Mister Mouse. But her parents instead try to marry Miss Mouse to the sun, the rain, the wind, and various other forces. But as they interrogate each prospective bridegroom, the mouse parents discover that none of them is the most powerful being of all.
