Episode one

A beautiful wife and a lovely house in Cornwall-what more could a man want? But for mining engineer Alec Hamilton life is by no means perfect. To face the music or turn and run is the decision he must make quickly. (Radio Times, 31 July 1980, p.50)

Episode two

Faking his death may have fooled the police in England. Now in Australia, Alec Hamilton has. to overcome the hostility of Ed Garrety , owner of a derelict gold mine called Golden Soak. Garrety claims the mine is worthless, but Alec has other ideas. (Radio Times, 7 August 1980, p.40)

Episode three

A pretty Australian girl ... an unscrupulous mining promoter ... and the arrival of his wife, Rosa. Life in Australia for Alec Hamilton gets complicated ... (Radio Times, 14 August 1980, p.51)

Episode four

The Golden Soak mine explosion ... was it an accident? Or did Ed Garrety deliberately set out to murder Phil Westrop in an attempt to bury the past? (Radio Times, 21 August 1980, p.55)

Episode five

The discovery that Golden Soak was always a reservoir of subterranean water brings great joy to Jarrabinda. The stricken herds of cattle can now survive. Alec and Janet celebrate their success, still unaware of Ed's desperate trip into the Gibson Desert. But their joy is shortlived - Rosa arrives. (Radio Times, 28 August 1980, p.55)

Episode six

With the mysterious death of Ed Garrety , Alec and Johnny are faced with an agonising decision: to carry on into the desert and find ' the copper mountain ' called Mcllroy's Monster and stake their claim, or turn back and break the tragic news to Janet?
