This small book contains Barron Field's The Kangaroo and a retelling by Lindsay Dane of a legend of the coming of the kangaroo attributed to the 'first Autochthonous inhabitants of Australia, particularly those of the South Eastern tribes' of the McDonnell ranges area. Printed to commemmorate Australia Day 1948.
