'When Fen, the 12-year-old narrator, is sent into the service of the Dark Lord of Geeragh, his mother makes him promise to kill the Dark Lord, in revenge for the death of Fen's father. The people of Geeragh also believe the Dark Lord is responsible for the hardship, the war and the usurping of the rightful king. But the Dark Lord is broken-hearted and misunderstood, and takes Fen with him on an epic journey to put things right. Together they find the rightful king, the woman the Dark Lord had lost, and succeed in bringing about peace and prosperity to the land. And most importantly, the Dark Lord finally earns respect from the people he can now rightly call his.' - from Voyager Online (sighted 18/01/2010)
