Comprises a revised version of Young Adam (1954) together with stories ' Being of Distances', 'The Holy Man', 'Peter Pierce' and 'A Meeting'. First published without Trocchi's authorisation in 1956 by Castle Books, New York, as Seed of Desire, under the pseudonym Jean Blanche.

Censorship notes: The book was prohibited without having been sent to the board because it is merely a different edition of Seed of Desire which had been banned in 1958.
Censorship notes: The prohibition was maintained by the Literature Censorship Board at a 1964 review. It was released by the National Literature Board of Review on 27.05.1971.
