In February 2004 Cordite poetry editor Michael Farrell 'went on a one-month meet-as-many-poets-as-possible trip to the U.S.'. This issue of Cordite contains predominantly the work of poets he met in the USA. The only Australian poet represented is Judith Bishop whom Farrell met at a dinner in St Louis.
