'La Spagnola' ('The SpanishWoman') is set in an Australian industrial town in 1960. The sexy, fiery Lola is enraged when her husband Ricardo leaves her for Wendy, an Australian blonde. With the family savings Ricardo buys a flash car and enjoys the good life with his mistress while Lola and their fourteen-year-old daughter Lucia struggle.
'When Ricardo falls victim to Wendy's high cholesterol diet and dies, Lola plots revenge and retrieval of the car. Complications arise as Lucia, Lola and Wendy go into battle with disastrous yet comical results. 'La Spagnola' is the story of survival and reconciliation in an industrial outpost.'
