Note: Author note: 'This story has been around in a few versions. Every time I read it something changes. During the last few years have read it outside of Australia at the Toronto Harbourfront Readings 1988, the Chicago Public Library Readings 1988, Exeter University 1988, and more recently at the University of Paris, 1991. Changes occurred after each of these readings.'
