Many of the chapters in The Poor Parson initially appeared as individual stories in Steele Rudd's Magazine in 1906-1907. For the book, some of the stories were divided into two and sometimes three chapters, chapter titles were added, and a number of (usually) minor changes were made to the text. So there is not always a straightforward match up between the stories as they first appeared in Steele Rudd's Magazine and the later book chapters....
Chapter 21 appeared in Rowlandson's Success (1907).
