Notes

  • Author's note: Caution to new readers: Any earnest student looking for real information amongst these notes will be disappointed. The author has set out to draw the fangs of History by omitting the facts and filling up with - well, the sort of stuff you find below. Constant readers of Aussie already know that 'Painless History' contains nothing of any use to the young. This warning is meant for new readers who may rush in searching for facts wherewith to 'improve their minds'. They can't improve their minds here. A course of 'Painless History' will make their minds fit only for owls to roost in. In the event of any reader being dissatisfied, the manager desires to intimate in advance that no money will be returned at the door.
