'Sweet Death' has a heroine who gorges herself to death on gourmet pastries and sweets. Conceived and composed by Greenwell to a libretto by playwright Abe Pogos, it was based upon the novel by Claude Tardat, and was broadcast on ABC radio in 1992.

Production Details

  • First produced at the Merlyn Theatre, South Melbourne, Victoria, by Chamber Made Opera as part of the Melbourne International Festival of the Arts [1991] 17 September 1991. Musical direction by Peter Locke, directed by Douglas Horton.
