AbstractHistoryArchive Description

This editorial casts Mrs Lawson in the third person. It attributes her ill health and inability to continue The Dawn to the longevity of the legal proceedings surrounding her invention and the scarcity of independent women journalists.

Notes

  • The issue of Mrs Lawson's invention is also addressed in the editorials of January and February 1903 and in "News and Notes" July 1905.
