AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'We have been requested to state that Mr Douglas Sladen has been commissioned by Mr Walter Scott to prepare, for his Canterbury Poets series, a volume of extracts from Australian poets. The only limitation is that they must be on Australian subjects. Anyone is eligible for representation, though he may only have written one poem. Those who wish to be represented in the volume should send their poems to Mr Douglas B.W. Sladen, care of Griffith and Farran, St Paul's Churchyard, London, E.C. Contributions should be forwarded at once, as the earlier they are the better chance they will have of finding space. The book will go to press in November. New Zealand and New Zealanders are included.'
