AbstractHistoryArchive Description
This collection of Australian multicultural writing is comprised of some sixty short poems and one longer poem by five poets of Italian heritage. The quality of the writing of these contributors places them among a select few of recognized serious writers at the time of this volume's publication. The choice of translator for each writer was determined by 'consideration based on a perceived compatibility between the poetic text and the personality of the translator.' The general theme is one of reflection on life's experience, either with another or as a member of a group.
