AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Comrade Devanny is in Court on Wednesday, July 11, to answer the two charges of assault on policemen and another of inciting to resist arrest. When the case was first heard the magistrate dismissed it on the conflicting evidence of the police themselves. The police appealed and the Supreme Court directed that the case be re-heard, with appeal costs against Comrade Devanny.'
