AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Two goldminding mates search for their missing third partner Joe who disappeared with 300gm of gold on his way to Ballarat and the bank. An ill unsuccessful publican, his slatternly motherless daughter and their cunning cook are all concerned with the disappearance - and Joe's 'ghost' had a cup of tea in the pub shortly after he disappeared. All ends happily for the three mates, and the publican's daughter is cast aside. (PB)
