Notes

  • The Jarrabin Trilogy was written by Hewett in 1996 as three connected, but self- contained plays. With Dorothy Hewett's approval and support, John Clark adapted Hewett's original trilogy into one play, with music composed and performed by Terence Clarke.
  • 'Hewett's play is the story of three generations of people who live in a small, Western Australian wheat-belt town, "twenty miles east of the rabbit-proof fence ...at the arse end of the universe." It is a warm, funny, sad, compassionate and provocative view of Australian history from Gallipoli to Vietnam.' (NIDA press release)

Production Details

  • Performed by NIDA, Parade Theatre NSW, October 2002.
