Notes
-
Based on the author's own experience, this book was inspired by a baby bilby which Rowan was given during a 1906 visit to the West Australian goldfields. The little creature, which Rowan named Bill Baillie, 'became her constant friend and travelling companion for several years'. (Source: Fullerton The Flower Hunter, 2002)
