AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Play with music.

A comedy written for four actors, A Daughter of Eve, concerns Dorothy Dove, a 'bread and butter schoolgirl' who has become tired of being treated indifferently by her lover, George Tempest, sets about turning the tables on him by treating him with even greater indifference. Into the story comes Sir John Llewellen, an irascible old Welshman who is constantly getting into the most violent passions, while at the same time declaring he is perfectly cool, and Mrs Torrington.
