The author's account of her search for a cure for insomnia, which she says inspired the theme of her novel Night by Night. She then realised that the source of the passages on insomnia quoted in the novel could become a book in its own right, and hence Bedlam - An Anthology of Sleepless Nights in Literature was compiled and published.
