AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A special annual publication of the Herald & Weekly Times Ltd 'well printed on art paper, with articles by leading Australian authors and illustrated by equally talented Australian artists, illustrators and photographers.' (Ian McLaren). Twenty four volumes were published, the last coinciding with Victoria's centenary in 1934.

Tha annual was popular for its colour reproductions of works by famous Australian artists and a high standard of printing was maintained throughout the life of the publication. In size it ranged from 54 pages in 1915 to 72 pages in 1934. Ian McLaren asserts that there is no definite information about the editors of the annual but suggests it likely that it fell under the control of the Weekly Times editor.
