Production Details

  • First produced by the Repertory Players, Comedy Theatre, London, 23 October 1949 followed by a season at the Apollo Theatre, London, from June 1950 where it received over 1,500 performances. First Australian production at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne, 5 April 1952. Also produced in New York, 1952. Adapted by John Drummond and published as a novel in 1955 by French. CH holds a manuscript copy of 'Scapa Flow: a musical play' based on 'Seagulls' by Hastings.
