'No Ticket No Start is the tough, no frills result of 'workin' on a buildin' ': it's just that Geoff Goodfellow's work was not so much to lift and carry (though he's done his share of that) as to watch and record. He is a keen and astute watcher and a recorder of uncompromising force.

'This is a book about work and workers - it laments injustices and defeats and celebrates the occasional win, but above all, it 'dips its lid to no man'.' (Publication summary)
