      • Editor's Introduction: The second volume in the series Women in harmony, I present here, brings together twenty-one stories, sixty-nine poems and a collection of 'Scattered Thoughts' by women writers living in different parts of Australia, in England, New Zealand and Pakistan.

        Like volume 1, this anthology focuses on women's writing in English, or in English translation, by women from NESB (non-English speaking background). Seventeen of the thirty-one women writers included were either born in a non-English speaking country ... or are second generation writers born in Australia of NESB parents: ... Unlike volume 1, poems and stories by these women, who are writing at the edge of Australian mainstream, are juxtaposed with those by women writers of English-speaking background.
