AbstractHistoryArchive Description

In his 1945 preface, J. K. Ewers states that the book "is based upon ten lectures given under the auspices of the Adult Education Board in Western Australia early in 1944...As the sub-title indicates, this is a "selective survey". But within the scope of its framework and treatment it is hoped that it will be found a useful introduction to the study of Australian literature."
