First produced at Her Majesty's Theatre, Sydney, 22 December 1906 followed by a season at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne from 23 March 1907.

Full title of production, Parsifal: or, The Redemption of Kundry, given in review by Veronica Kelly (Margin 1994). 'Kundry' is the name of one of the main characters in the drama.

The show was produced by a dramatic company formed in 1904 under the management of J.C. Williamson, George Tallis and Gustave Ramaciotti. Williamson was the stage director and Christian Helleman composed the original music for Parsifal.
