Author's Introduction: ...A Spin of Pink Heath offers the work of a group in the community often taken for granted as mothers, teachers, nurses and good supporters in jobs where support is needed. These poets find their writing time fragmented. When the question is asked concerning the necessity for a special society for women writers the answer must be the very real need for a stimulating but gentle place where a woman can grow into the art of writing at her own pace, find practical encouragement, and know that art and home are automatically accepted as working partners.
