BiographyHistory

George Russell graduated MA (NZ) and PhD (Cambridge). He was Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of Melbourne 1971-1983. After he retired, he was appointed Professor Emeritus. Most of his retiremnet was spent in the Mallee, near Mildura.
