BiographyHistory

Finlay Lloyd is an independent publisher based in Braidwood, New South Wales. It was set up by Ingeborg Hansen, Phil Day, Robin Wallace-Crabbe (q.v.) and 'Finlay Lloyd' (Julian Davies) 'to add a new voice to what we feel is a cluttered but overly homogenised industry, and to encourage imaginative and speculative writing. Our intention is to publish books that excite us without concern for whether they return a profit. (Some people have expensive hobbies, we have a passion for ideas.) ... Although we are a small press we believe that will be one of our assets, determination and daring attracting a special sort of writer and reader.'

Finlay Lloyd grew out of Finlay Press, a private press that prints limited edition books.
