BiographyHistory

Layla Saklawi was born in Portugal of Lebanese parents and lived in West Africa until the age of 16. She lived in Lebanon before migrating to Australia.

Her book Now You Know Why is considered to be the first book of poetry in English to be published by a woman of Lebanese background in Australia.
