Automaton 2006 single work picture book children's

'Following his invention of the light bulb and recorded sound, Thomas Edison turned his genius to the invention of a doll which could speak and walk. When assembled the doll weighed almost 10 kilos and Edison buried this failure in the grounds of his factory. Here is a modern parable warning about the age of dehumanising automation.
