BiographyHistory

Christopher Brown has lived and worked as a secondary teacher in Newcastle, NSW. His work has appeared in anthologies, and in online journals including Stylus, Cordite, Hutt, Shampoo, Foam:e, Overland, and Snorkel. His poetry also has been included in the Newcastle Poetry Prize and Roland Robinson Literary Award anthologies. He has lived with his family in Lucca, Italy.

'Exploring relations to place, ways we receive language as we move in the world, and anxieties of communication, hotel universo particularizes the rendered, the middling and ostensibly universal. Written in Newcastle's suburbs and published here its poems reflect and reside in a politics of location.
