BiographyHistory

Norman Lilley worked as a journalist for the Bulletin and the Argus. E. Morris Miller (Australian Literature From Its Beginnings to 1935, Vol. 1) quotes from one of the articles (Argus September 1927) in which Lilley reminisced about his association with the poet Hugh McCrae. 'With him [McCrae)', Lilley wrote, 'I read the proofs of his first collection of poems (which Norman Lindsay had illustrated).'
