BiographyHistory

Andrew Leigh was educated at James Ruse High School, Sydney, the University of Sydney and Harvard University. He has worked as a lawyer in Sydney, London and Canberra (as associate to Justice Michael Kirby). Leigh has worked in the USA as a researcher and was Professor of Economics at the Australian National University before entering the federal parliament in 2010 as the Labor member for the Canberra seat of Fraser. Leigh's non fiction work on Australian social change Disconnected (2010) was longlisted for the John Button Prize in 2011.
