BiographyHistory

Janet McKenzie, an Aboriginal Australian from the coastal border region of New South Wales, narrated her two volumes of life writing, Fingal Tiger (1982) and Ebenezer (1983) when in her seventies. In these works she connects her life story with her strong Christian beliefs. Ebenezer was a nineteenth-century mission established to offer Christian education to Aboriginal Australians. New Creation Publications, which published Fingal Tiger and Ebenezer, is a Christian publishing house.
