Kath Schilling has worked at the Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies as head of the AIATSIS Family History Unit. Schilling compiled and co-edited the Aboriginal Women's and Men's Heritage series as the Aboriginal Women's Heritage Co-ordinator with the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
