Paul Kelly has worked as an editor on the Australian newspaper. His non-fiction work The March of Patriots : The Struggle for Modern Australia (2009) was shortlisted for the John Button Prize 2010 and the Walkley Award, Best Non-Fiction Book 2010. His Triumph and Demise: The Broken Promise of a Labor Generation won a Walkley Award in 2014. His The Dismissal (with Troy Bramston) was shortlisted for an ABIA in 2016.
